International membership & fellowship
FMLM welcomes all doctors from around the world to join our community of medical leaders.
Membership of FMLM includes access to our journal, BMJ Leader, the opportunity to network with senior medical leaders from across national boundaries, and significant discounts on major events and courses including the annual FMLM international healthcare conference
The annual membership subscription is £260.
Prospective members from low and middle income countries should contact FMLM to discuss a discount on membership. Additionally, groups will also receive a significant discount when they join together.

International Fellowship
FMLM International Fellowship is available to those senior individuals who have made a national or internationally significant contribution to medical leadership.
The application process is thorough and considered, and as a result from application to award may take from three to 12 months, depending on how complete the original application is and when the final interview stage is held.
Step one: Application is submitted and screened by the FMLM team (note all applications and supporting documents must be in English or translated by accredited translator)
Step two: Application is submitted to assessment panel members who recommend rejection or acceptance to next stage
Step three: Interview offered and application fee payment taken
Step four: Interview (held online) and confirmation of award.
"We want to attract those doctors and dentists who do not have the national or regional opportunity to have their leadership knowledge recognised as a qualification. However, FMLM International Fellowship will not be appropriate for all international doctors and dentists. It is, in some ways, FMLM’s most stringent qualification, with an interview (conducted virtually) among other additional measures being required in addition to the usual FMLM Fellowship process."
