Anisha worked for various secondary and tertiary hospitals in London and Oxford prior to specialising as a Lead Cardiothoracic Critical Care Pharmacist. She is a certified independent prescriber in secondary prevention post myocardial infarction. In addition to her clinical expertise she has significant experience with implementing policy, governance, drug formulary, drug safety and multidisciplinary co-ordination.

Anisha has a longstanding interest in education and training locally, regionally and nationally having supported Thames Valley Pharmacy and the Pharmaceutical Press. She is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Reading, lecturing for the Independent Prescribing Programme and Joint Programme Board. She has contributed to the Pharmaceutical Journal and presented at the International Symposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine.

With a passion for population health and preventative medicine, Anisha has completed a Master’s in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her current research area of interest includes the deprescribing of benzodiazepines and Z-drugs.
In her spare time, she oil paints and attends weekly life drawing classes. She recently ran the Richmond Marathon, conquered Kilimanjaro for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, and in her latest venture is picking up tennis.

Anisha applied to NHS England to gain an inside perspective on how systems-wide leadership and strategies function at the heart of the public health system. She looks forward to collaborating on work that will improve health outcomes on a population level and deliver healthcare services equitably.
