Anna has worked within the NHS since leaving College initially in administrative roles before retraining as a midwife in 2004. Anna currently works as a Delivery Suite Team Leader in a maternity unit with approximately 5000 births a year. Anna has a special interest in patient experience and currently sits on the Trust Sub Group for patient experience and also is the lead professional for the Maternity Voices Partnership - the service user group for maternity. To assist with her management role, Anna completed an MSc in Transformational Leadership in Health and Social Care and has also completed a PRINCE2 project management program. Anna has previously been a Justice of the Peace.
Reason for applying for the scheme
Anna is passionate about the patient experience to ensure that this is at the forefront of clinicians minds. Anna has completed an MSc and hopes that the experience gained from the scheme will assist to put this into practice. Anna also hopes to gain experience in leading on projects and build on the work started with the PRINCE2 qualification she undertook.
