NHS England GP Coaching Pilot Evaluation Report

We are delighted to be able to share the evaluation of a coaching pilot we recently undertook for NHS England, coaching GPs who were thinking of giving up or had recently returned to practice.

The conclusions and recommendations are particularly worth looking at and tables 15 and 17 demonstrate some of the most striking findings.

We would encourage you to share this report with your colleagues with the aim of:

• Inspiring GPs to consider coaching in order to tackle challenges they face and realise opportunities throughout their career journey
• Enable collaborative approaches between the profession , emerging General Practice Networks/Clusters, and the range of organisations within the NHS across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to making coaching more accessible for GPs

GP Champions Resource Pack

Following a series of GP champions workshops earlier this year, we agreed our ambitions for our GP champions network to be a channel for communication and engagement with a focus on benefits to both FMLM and GP champions.

We would like to find out from you how you each want to contribute to these ambitions, and to establish profiles and testimonials from active GP champions acknowledging your contributions and making the GP champions more visible on the FMLM website, to members and stakeholders.

Please contact us via primarycare [at] fmlm.ac.uk telling us what are you planning to do, e.g. speak at a GP event, set up a GP event, write a blog, make a vlog, or other ideas? 

The attached Our GP Champions resource pack will provide you with some material to enable you with your plans. 

Please also send us your bio (up to 150 words) with a high resolution photograph – which we will use to profile our GP champions on our website.
