I am currently studying with the Tavistock and Portman NHS FT / University of Essex on the Masters course “consulting and leading in organisations”, working with groups on what’s under the surface.

About Me

I am a systems thinker with aptitude for sense-making. I work in the strategy department at a London teaching hospital, working with clinical teams across the organisation on their vision and direction, while giving effect to more immediate plans. I previously held national roles working with clinicians and NHS board members across the country on policy and leadership development.

I qualified as a coach in 2017 as I was attracted to formalising and professionalising the helping relationships I have had over my career, which began at the BMA over 20 years ago supporting doctors with training and employment issues.  In coaching I want to help people broaden their knowledge of their options so that they can make choices more in tune with their values and ambitions. While I am not medically qualified, I have been alongside medics for my entire career, giving me both a strong contextual understanding and an alternative set of perspectives to draw on in working with you.

Coaching Process

I approach coaching taking account of individuals in relation to their teams, organisations and systems and look to question accepted norms, though ultimately my coaching is tailored to what you want from the process. I use listening, support and challenge to understand your context and issues, helping you identify your next steps in a way that can work for you.

What can I offer you?

My coaching is tailored to help you with what you want to achieve – be it a space for working out your relative priorities, or a more action-oriented approach to achieving particular goals you may have in mind. I provide an environment to help you take stock, make sense of your situation and identify ways forward that are consistent with your values and ambitions. I would hope that sessions with me provoked different ways of thinking about challenges and opportunities.

What are your three unique selling points?

 1. I am honest, caring and considered, all at the same time.

2. I bring high potential for new perspectives and new routes into issues.

3. I really listen.
