Miss Aiysha Raoof

Aiysha graduated from The University of Nottingham with a Master of Pharmacy. She holds multiple postgraduate qualifications including Independent Prescribing, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Leadership.

After her MPharm, she undertook her pre-registration training in secondary care in Yorkshire and the Humber and entered primary care upon qualifying. She is currently based in the Midlands, holding a portfolio career.

During her undergraduate studies, Aiysha was involved in founding and leading numerous outreach projects and roles within education both at university and nationally. She has received several awards and prizes, in addition to her research on Paediatric Vancomycin being published. In 2020, she was awarded the ‘Women to Watch’ award by The Royal Pharmaceutical Journal.

Aiysha currently works in a PCN across multiple practices, Enhanced Health in Care Homes team and founded a Health Inequalities Network. She also holds roles within her local ICS, Federation and sits on the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Primary Care Expert Advisory Group.

Her career thus far has included experience in research, governance and policy development, education and training, and workforce development. She has also been involved in NHSE&I COVID-19 media campaigns, widening participation mentoring schemes and co-runs a medical education company.

She has a passion for healthcare leadership, overcoming health inequalities and public health. With extensive experience in these as well as population health management and clinically within Health Care of The Older Person, Aiysha has strong interdisciplinary skills in both clinical and non-clinical environments and has been involved with stakeholders, professional leads, regional and national teams.

Reason for applying for the scheme

Aiysha is looking forward to the year ahead and is delighted to be starting her fellowship. Having a strong foundation from various positions she aims to expand her understanding of the strategic complexities involved in clinical leadership and the National Health Service on both a Regional and National level.

Aiysha hopes her time as a fellow will enable her to further develop her skills and scope around leadership, management and change-making, with the aim to apply this as an all-in-one holistic approach to support the improvement and development of patient care and workforce development.

She is looking forward to collaborating and engaging with system stakeholders, leaders and fellows whilst learning more about leadership, healthcare policy and clinical improvement.
