Mrs Temitope Ojikutu

NHS South East Region
NHS Regional Clinical Leadership Fellow 2022/23
Pharmacist

Temitope Ojikutu graduated from the University of Kent with a Masters in Pharmacy and qualified as a pharmacist in 2015. Her desire and drive to seek out new avenues for self-development and growth has been the driving force in her career. Working with Boots Pharmacy was her first professional engagement where she discharged her duties as a community pharmacist and built key relationships within her local community. Her genuine thirst for knowledge and desire to be a positive trailblazer led her to undergo the independent prescribing course, and subsequently qualified as an independent prescriber in 2021. With the changing NHS landscape, Temitope realised that there is an expanding role for pharmacists in primary care. Temitope saw this as an opportunity to engage actively in her local community as a Primary Care Network (PCN) pharmacy lead. This allowed her to facilitate a collaborative working relationship with the community pharmacies and the GP practices within her locality.

Temitope thereafter transitioned to working with Medway Foundation Trust Hospital as a PCN Clinical Pharmacist. Within this current role, Temitope effectively leads local projects and audits in which she collaborates with stakeholders such as the CEO of the Kent LPC, PCN clinical directors, pharmacy contractors, practice managers in the implementation of projects to serve the needs of the local population. With her effective management style, Temitope has recorded tremendous levels of quality engagements with relevant stakeholders, which has significantly increased the quality of service within her PCN.
