Kate is a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist with the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. Her experience spans across various settings and clinical areas including Acute Medicine, Cardiovascular, Gastroenterology, Haematology, Neonatal, Paediatric, Respiratory and Women’s specialties.
Kate is also trained in Public Health (MPH, University of Glasgow 2008) with a growing interest in the role the pharmacy profession plays in addressing inequalities by collaborating with agencies to identify underserved groups, making every patient contact count by exploring how to tailor health and wellbeing interventions to meet patient needs and preferences and maximise their impact.
Reason for applying for the scheme
Kate is a dedicated pharmacist with the desire to broaden her sphere of influence beyond the clinical setting. She is eager to begin the clinical fellowship and is driven by the opportunities it presents to develop skills in strategic leadership and further understand how the wider NHS works.
