Self-assessment tool for clinicians to judge their leadership skills
There are many examples of poor practice and system failure within healthcare where a lack of leadership – at an individual, collective and system level – has been identified as an important factor. With the economic and other challenges facing the NHS, and with an unprecedented level of responsibility being devolved to frontline staff, it will be imperative that the whole workforce has the leadership knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive radical service redesign and improvement.
This self-assessment tool is based on the five domains of the Clinical Leadership Competency Framework/Medical Leadership Competency Framework and is relevant for doctors through their careers.
