Dr Kloer is the Executive Medical Director and Director of Clinical Strategy for Hywel Dda University Health Board. He has 5 years experience at Board level, 8 years experience in NHS leadership positions and has led major service improvement and service change programmes. He has previously worked as Executive Director of Primary Care, Community & Mental Health Services, and also as Director of Clinical Services. He is a Consultant Respiratory Physician who has trained in Wales, Southampton and New Zealand. He previously chaired the National Rapid Response to Acute Illness (RRAILS) Steering Group, which was responsible for driving the implementations of NEWS into every acute hospital in Wales and the development of an app that has been downloaded in over 25 countries. He is passionate about driving improvements in the public experience and outcomes of health services, and in improving population health and reducing inequity.
