Ms Sarah Cahill

Clinical Fellow, Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)

Sarah is currently based at Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS). She has worked as a hospital pharmacist for the last 5 years at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust where she completed both her post-graduate clinical diploma (PGClinDip) and clinically enhanced pharmacist independent prescribing (CEPIP) post-graduate course from University College London.

Her most recent role was working as a clinical informatics pharmacist helping to develop and implement the electronic patient record (EPR) across Barnet, Chase Farm and Royal Free sites. Sarah is interested in digitally enabling patients and clinicians to optimise patient outcomes from their medicines, health and wellbeing. She is passionate about education and training and has completed her Statement of Teaching Proficiency (STP) certificate from King's Health Partners. She has been both a pre-registration and diploma tutor for junior pharmacists. She also works as a teacher practitioner at University College London with pharmacy undergraduate students.

Sarah applied for this fellowship to gain a unique insight into the wider healthcare system and to work in a national organisation. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with senior leaders in both the NHS and other organisations to develop her leadership, management and project management skills through leading on national projects. She is extremely interested in learning more about the different theories and frameworks behind leadership and how best to utilise her skills, behaviour and mindset to develop as a leader within the NHS to lead and make improvements in her future career.
