Reason for applying for the scheme

Rebecca applied for the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer's Clinical Fellow Scheme as she would like to broaden her knowledge and experience and develop herself as a future NHS leader. Through this year she would love to develop her strategic and political awareness and have a greater appreciation of national priorities and how key decisions affecting patient care are made.

She believes that pharmacists hold a unique skill set and as a profession can help develop the NHS to ensure it is fit for the future. She believes that this fellowship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside current NHS leaders and innovators who are at the forefront of the profession and gain insight into how she can strive for excellence and positively influence the NHS of the future.

Rebecca believes that through this experience she will be able to reflect on her own leadership skills and develop herself both professionally and personally so she can motivate those around her to drive positive healthcare change.
