Mrs Sally Kemp

Qualifications

I hold an M.Sc. in Coaching and Behavioural Change from Henley Business School which enables me to offer a breadth of coaching approaches depending on your needs and preferences. As part of this, I completed research on collaboration in primary care.

I am an ICF member, trained in Clinical Career Coaching, and licensed to use psychometric tools including Myers-Briggs and the Healthcare Leadership Model 360 tool.

About Me

As an executive coach, I work with my clients to optimise their performance and satisfaction. With a strong interest in what makes people tick and high performing teams, I was drawn into coaching to help people to seize the opportunities that present and deal with the professional and personal challenges that can derail them. As well as coaching, I offer facilitation services and leadership development training through my company, Alemus Limited. The name means ‘we support, care and nurture’.

I am at home working with senior clinicians, or aspiring leaders early in their careers. I enjoy working with people facing an important transition – such as a challenging business change, a new role, or a critical personal issue – and supporting resilience in high pressure environments.

Recent clients include GPs seeking to co-operate with neighbouring practices or to manage work/life balance issues, a newly appointed Consultant looking to maximise her impact, and clinicians preparing to take on senior system-wide or national roles.

My background includes having been Chairman of NHS Berkshire, which built on my private sector experience with IBM, including project management and developing talent. As part of this, I spent a couple of years working with consultants across three acute trusts to look at the application of technology. I have been a lay member on a CCG and an area board member of a housing association, and am part of the NHS Leadership Academy’s Nye Bevan faculty to support aspiring Executive Directors.

Coaching Process

My style is pragmatic, calm and confident, underpinned by a profound belief that you are the best person to come up with a way forward, when given the right support.

We work together confidentially to shape opportunities, confront difficult issues or choices, and find a realistic way forward. I’m happy to bring in areas outside work if you wish.

I find that a clear focus on making progress really helps, so liaise with clients between sessions to maximise momentum.

I prefer to work virtually by Teams or Zoom and will happily meet face to face if you live or work nearby.

What can I offer you?

I regularly work with clinicians to support them to move their service or practice forward or to improve their confidence, impact or personal resilience (whether a result of operational pressures or life events).

My knowledge of the health and care sectors can be helpful when working with clinicians, especially in a primary, community care or mental health setting.

Working in integrated care and multi-disciplinary environments is a further interest area.

What are your three unique selling points?

1. I take my responsibilities as a coach seriously and have a passion for learning. I continually hone my skills to keep up to date with good practice in coaching

2. As I work across the country, I can bring experience of different health systems to our work.

3. I run an ICF-accredited coaching network so have plenty of shared experience around me to draw upon.

How will you be willing to coach? Face to face and Skype, Zoom, FaceTime or Teams

Who will you be willing to coach? Individuals and teams
