Tell us a little bit about yourself Trish and what you are currently working on? "My name is Trish Greenhalgh. I'm a professor of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford and actually I'm now a full-time academic although for a long time, nearly 40 years, I was also a practicing clinician - mostly general practice.

The label of ‘leader’ is one which can present difficulties in terms of definition and identity, especially for those who struggle to realise their aspirations or recognise themselves in those roles.

I hope you enjoyed the conference last week and feel inspired and energised by what you heard. I learned a lot, which has supported my leadership development as a GP working in an integrated care system.

FMLM welcomes the updated Good medical practice (GMP), which takes several steps to give greater clarity to regulatory guidance for the UK medical profession, as well as embracing the important themes which have challenged the culture of UK healthcare.

Just under 400 attendees joined the two-day International Healthcare Leadership Conference 2022, which took place online on 9 and 10 November, representing the four nations of the UK as well as countries in each of the four hemispheres.
