FMLM is an internationally recognised and prestigious organisation which spearheads excellence in medical leadership to enable doctors and dentists to transform the quality of patient care and services.
FMLM is proud of the achievements of two senior fellows recognised for honours earlier this month:
Dr Frank Atherton, Honorary Founding Senior Fellow of FMLM and Chief Medical Officer for the Welsh Government, who has been appointed Knight Bachelor for services to public health.
FMLM welcomes the updated Good medical practice (GMP), which takes several steps to give greater clarity to regulatory guidance for the UK medical profession, as well as embracing the important themes which have challenged the culture of UK healthcare.
Congratulations to our members and an FMLM Applied Associate who have been given an honour for His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List 2023.
The fast approaching holiday period provides an opportunity to reflect on what has been a transformational year for FMLM, and look ahead to a bright future.
We are delighted to announce that the Board of Trustees are inviting Professor Jane Dacre to become an Honorary Senior Fellow of FMLM. This is in recognition of her outstanding contribution to medical leadership.
One of the UK’s most senior medical leaders whose career has included military service across multiple continents, advising the UK Government on national medical emergencies, and serving as Honorary Surgeon to Their Majesties Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III, has been appointed to lead the nations’ foremost body for medical leadership.
It is with the deepest sadness that we note the death of Dame Clare Marx, who was the second Chair of FMLM and so much more.
Just under 400 attendees joined the two-day International Healthcare Leadership Conference 2022, which took place online on 9 and 10 November, representing the four nations of the UK as well as countries in each of the four hemispheres.
